INTRODUCTION The
only creation that is perfectly settled is Havona,
the central universe, which was made directly by the thought of the Universal
Father and the word of the Eternal Son. The
creations of the seven universes are finite, evolutionary and consistently
progressive. The
physical systems of time and space are all evolutionary in origin. They are
not even physically stabilized until they are swung into the settled circuits
of their superuniverses. Neither
is a local universe settled in light and life until its physical
possibilities of expansion and development have been exhausted, and until the
spiritual status of all its inhabited worlds has been forever settled and
stabilized. Except
in the central universe, perfection is a progressive attainment. Central
universe is the pattern of perfection which has to be attained in all other
realms by the methods established for the advancement of those particular
worlds or universes. Local universe
is the handiwork of a Creator Son of the There
are almost infinite varieties that characterize the plans of the Creator Sons
for organizing, evolving, disciplining and settling their respective local
universes. On the
headquarters of local universe there reside all those creator and creative
personalities who represent self-contained authority and administrative
autonomy, almost every class of intelligent beings existing in the central
universe except the Universal Father, who is present and personally
represented by local universe Creator Son. The
evolutionary creatures find difficult to envisage the Universal Father in his
Creator Sons and the surest safeguard for them is to hold on to the
truth-fact of the Father’s presence in his Sons, because literally and
figuratively, spiritually and personally, they are one. It is
truly the fact: “He who has seen a (Creator) Son has seen the Father”. EVOLUTION OF LOCAL UNIVERSE Local
universes of time and space are all evolutionary. Each comprises 100
constellations, each embracing 100 local systems which will each have eventually
about 1,000 inhabited planets. Each
local universe is the creative work of Paradise Creator Son of Michael’s
order. The
creative plan of the Paradise Michael’s always proceeds along the path of
gradual evolvement and progressive development of the physical, intellectual,
and spiritual natures and capacities of its creatures inhabiting the varied
orders of spheres comprising the local universe. Urantia belongs to a local universe whose sovereign is Michael of Salvington, one of Michael’s Creator Sons of God, or
better known on Urantia as Jesus of Nazareth, son
of man. All of
Michael’s plans for this local universe were fully approved by the Paradise
Trinity before he ever embarked upon the supreme adventure of space of local
universe of Nebadon. The Sons
of God may choose the realms of their creator activities but these material
creations were all originally projected and planned by the Paradise
Architects of the Master Universe. PHYSICAL EMERGENCE OF LOCAL
UNIVERSES The
pre-universe manipulations of space-force and the primordial energies are the
work of the Paradise Master Force Organizers; but in the superuniverse
domains, when emergent energy becomes responsive to a local or linear
gravity, they retire in favor of the power directors of the superuniverse concerned. These
power directors function alone in the pre-material and post-force phases of a
local universe creation and there is no opportunity for a Creator Son to
begin local universe organization until the power directors have effected the
mobilization of the space-energies sufficiently to provide a material foundation for the emerging local
universe, i.e. literal suns and material spheres. The
local universes are all approximately of the same energy potential, though
they differ greatly in physical dimensions and may vary in visible-matter
content from time to time. The
power charge and potential- matter endowment of a local universe are
determined by the manipulations of the power directors and their predecessors
as well as by the Creator Son’s activities and by the endowment of the
inherent physical control possessed by his creative associate. The
energy charge of a local universe is approximately 1/ 100,000th of
the force endowment of its superuniverse, and in
the case of our local universe of Nebadon it is a
trifle less. When
energy- matter has attained a certain stage in mass materialization, a
Paradise Creator Son appears upon the scene, accompanied by a Creative
Daughter of the Infinite Spirit. Simultaneously
with the arrival of the Creator Son, work is begun upon the architectural
sphere which is to become the headquarters world of the projected local
universe. For a
long ages such a local creation evolves, suns become stabilized, planets form
and swing into their orbits, while the work of creating the architectural
worlds which are to serve as constellation headquarters and local system capitals continues. LOCAL UNIVERSE ORGANIZATION The
Creator Sons are preceded in the local universe organization by the power
directors and other beings originating in the Conjoint Actor of 3rd
Source and Center. From
the energies of space, thus previously organized, our Creator Son Michael has
established the inhabited realms of his local universe of Nebadon,
and ever since has been painstakingly devoted to their administration. From
pre-existent energy he has materialized visible matter, projected living
creatures, and with the co-operation of his consort, the Divine Minister, the
daughter of the Infinite Spirit, has created a diverse retinue of spirit
personalities. The
power directors and energy controllers, who long preceded Creator Son, in the
preliminary physical work of local universe organization, continue to serve
in liaison with Michael, forever remaining in associated control of those
energies which they originally organized and directed. On Salvington there now actively function
the same 100 power centers that cooperated with Michael in the original
formation of local universe of Nebadon. The
first completed act of physical creation in Nebadon
consisted in the organization of the headquarters world, the architectural
sphere of Salvington with its satellites. From
the time of the initial moves of the power centers and physical controllers
to the arrival of the living staff on the completed spheres of Salvington, there intervened a little over 1 billion
years of present Urantia time. The construction of Salvington was immediately followed by the creation of
the 100 headquarters of projected constellations and 10,000 headquarters of
local systems of planetary control and administration, together with their
architectural satellites. The
organization of the planetary abodes is still progressing in Nebadon, for this local universe is still a young cluster in the starry and planetary realm of Orvonton and at the last registry there was 3,840,101 inhabited
planets in Nebadon. Urantia is commonly referred to as 606 of Satania
in Norlatiadek of Nebadon,
meaning the 606th inhabited world in the local system of Satania, situated in the constellation of Norlatiadek, one of 100
constellations of the local universe of Nebadon. Constellations
being the primary divisions of a local universe of Nebadon,
their rulers link the local systems of inhabited worlds to the central
administration of the local universe on Salvington
and through Salvington to the superadministration
of the Ancients of Days on Uversa. Satania, the local system of our local universe, where our planet Urantia is located, is not a uniform astronomic physical
system. Its 619 inhabited planets are located in over 500 different physical
systems and out of those there are 46 worlds having 2 inhabited planets and 5
have more then 2 inhabited worlds where 1 of these five has 4 inhabited
planets. The Satania system of inhabited worlds is far removed from
the physical or astronomical great sun cluster center of the 7th superuniverse, and from Jerusem,
the capital of Satania, it is over 200,000 light
years to the physical center of the Orvonton. Satania is on the periphery of the local universe of Nebadon which is now well out at the edge of the Orvonton. From
the outermost system of the inhabited worlds to the center of the superuniverse of Orvonton is a
trifle less then 250,000 lightyears where the local
universe of Nebadon now swings far to the south and
east in its superuniverse circuit. The
nearest neighboring local universes of Nebadon are
Avalon, Henselon, Sanselon,
Portalon, Wolvering, Fanoving and Alvoring. Architectural
worlds are designed to accommodate both physical and spiritual personalities as
well as the intervening transition phase (morontia)
stages of ascending personality progression. Salvington, the headquarters of Nebadon, is
situated at the exact energy-mass center of the local universe,
however it is not a single astronomic system, though a large system does
exist at its physical center. Salvington is the personal headquarters of Michael of Nebadon
where he, in association with the Creative
Spirit, projects his plan of life creation. First
creative act formulated and executed was the bringing into being Gabriel, the
Bright and Morning Star, the personification of this initial creative concept
of identity and ideal of divinity. Gabriel
is the chief executive of the local universe, the personal associate of his
father, the Creator Son Michael. Once when Gabriel as the right-hand helper
and the chief executive was provided, then there ensued into the existence a
vast array of different other creatures. Soon
thereafter the government of such creation was provided, extending from the
supreme councils of the local universe to the fathers of the constellations
and the sovereigns of the local systems, the aggregations of those worlds
which are designed subsequently to become the homes of the varied mortal
races of will creatures; and each of these worlds becomes presided over by
the Planetary Prince of Lanonandek’s order. Only
after such local universe was completely organized and so sufficiently manned,
does the Creator enter into the Father’s proposal to create mortal man in
their divine image. CONCLUSION There
is a great and glorious purpose in the march of the universes through space
and we are all part of an immense plan, an eternal project under Gods
supervision and outworking where the whole universal mechanism moves on
majestically through the space to the music of the meter of the infinite
thought and the eternal purpose of the God the Father of the First Source and
Center. It is
the vastness of this undertaking that renders evolutionary mortal of its
comprehension and understanding especially during one short human life where
the events of time hinder mortals of this recognition. However
through the struggles of material existence faithful ascending mortals
eventually bridge over to the other side, to the promised land of eternal
spiritual reality and supernal existence, of something never beginning and
never ending, something of high spiritual ideal that God the Father always
